When winter comes, Simon, 12 years old, rides the small cable car which connects the industrial lowland where he lives alone with his sister Louise to the wealthy ski resort above. Up there he steals skis and equipment from rich tourists, which he then resells to kids living in his building, to earn a small but regular income. Louise has just lost her job and takes advantage of Simon’s growing business and becomes more and more dependent on him…
